Tsitsikamma is a khoi word meaning “place of abundant or sparkling water”. The region, which sits on a 200m high plateau stretches from the Bloukrans River in the west to the Tsitsikamma River in the east, is bordered on the north by the imposing Tsitsikamma Mountains and in the south by the Indian Ocean.

FULL DAY: Itinerary

We visit Storms River Village…a little village set in the heart of the forests and in the foothills of the majestic Tsitsikamma mountain range.

During the Day: Relaxed Hiking

Starts at Sandy Bay (next to the restaurant) and takes one along a winding board walk through indigenous forest to the mouth of the Storm River, the famous suspension bridge, of the Stormsriver Mouth Cave

Lunch: Meals

Tsitsikamma Restaurant is a glorious seafood eatery, contained by the Garden Route National Park. With a variety of dishes from traditional English breakfast & toasted sandwiches to burgers, pastas and steak, egg and chips however they put the most emphasis on their scrumptious seafood

Early Afternoon: We visit

Bloukrans Bridge Bungy which  is the world’s highest commercial bridge bungy at 216 metres (709 ft) above the Bloukrans River
