Day 1: City of Cape Town

  • Arrive at Cape Town International Airport where you will be welcomed by our representative(s).
  • Depart on a city orientation tour of Cape Town, known as “the Mother City”, the oldest European city in the country.
  • Visit The Castle of Good Hope, a bastion fort, built by the Dutch and on to experience magnificent Table Mountain, taking the cable car to the top of the mountain (weather permitting) for spectacular views over the Mother City and Table Bay.
  • Drive to the Bo-Kaap area, previously known as the Malay Quarter, with its charming colorful houses.
  • Then on to Green Point before travelling along the sea front to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, a world class development of shops, restaurants and hotels around the old harbor named after Queen Victoria and her son, Alfred.

Day 2: Splendorous Cape Peninsula and Cape Point

  • Full day excursion to Cape Point.
  • Take an exciting boat ride to see Cape Fur Seals in their natural habitat.
  • Drive along the scenically stunning Chapman’s Peak Drive which follows the coastline as we make our way to Cape Point.
  • Visit the Cape of Good Hope, the most south-westerly point on the continent of Africa.  Take the funicular (Labeled as optional cost) to the old lighthouse from where there are views right to the end of the peninsula and the new lighthouse, said to be the most powerful and projecting lighthouse in the world.   Return along the False Bay coast, via Simon’s Town where we visit a penguin colony at the Boulders.

    Day 3: Cape Town to Oudtshoorn

  • Depart from Cape Town to the Klein Karoo travelling via small towns, each with its own unique character.
  • Arrive in Oudtshoorn known as the feather capital of the world!
  • Visit the famous Cango Caves which boasts the largest show cave system in Africa, with their impressive stalactite, stalagmite and flowstone rock formations.
  • Visit an ostrich safari farm where you will experience and learn all about these extraordinary flightless birds.

    Day 4: Oudtshoorn to Knysna

  • Our first stop is the ‘Wild Life’ Ranch where we will experience many indigenous animals that roam freely in these areas in route to Knysna.
  • Arrive in the beautiful coastal town of Knysna, nestled between the Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean, surrounded by world-renowned forests and a wealth interesting activities Knysna offers for its visitors. The beautiful lagoon provides various markets that offer organic goods, delicious food, indigenous plants and a relaxing social atmosphere. The region isn’t known as the “Garden of Eden” for nothing! Another famous feature is the Knysna Heads developed around the lagoon, renowned for its scenic beauty and delicious oysters. We will take the rest of the afternoon to explore Knysna and surrounding areas before we enjoy our delicious evening dinner cruise on the beautiful Eco protected estuary.

    Day 5: Knysna to Tsitsikamma National Park

  • Travel from Knysna via the famous Garden Route to the Tsitsikamma National Park where you will experience the lusciously green indigenous forests in this eastern part of the Route. The park is not only breathtaking itself, but a haven for indigenous flora and fauna and widely known for its amazing marine life. A marine conservation strip forms part of the park, stretching five and a half kilometers out into the ocean.
  • On our way, we stop at Bloukrans Bridge Bungy which is the world’s highest commercial bridge for bungy jumping at 216 meters (709 ft.) above the Bloukrans River.
  • Visit the Storms River mouth with its amazing suspension bridges.

    Day 6: Tsitsikamma to O.R. Tambo International. Airport

  • Depart to Port Elizabeth for a short flight to Oliver Tambo International Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met by our one of our tour representatives and transferred to your overnight accommodation.

    Day 7: Depart to Kruger National Park

  • Depart for Kruger National Park. Along the way, we will stop in the beautiful town of Dullstroom for lunch and afterwards continue our journey to the beautiful and rustic River Safari Lodge where you will be accommodated during your time in the game park.
  • After being settled in the lodge, we will enjoy a late afternoon introductory game drive with a knowledgeable Kruger Park ranger who will guide us and describe the wildlife that you see.

    Day 8: Explore the Kruger National Park

  • All day game drive in Kruger National Park. You will enjoy an early morning game drive with your ranger again following a variety of planned routes through the African wild in search of large varieties of wildlife such as lions, African elephant, Water buffalo, giraffe, zebra and many varieties of antelope and bird life. We may even see the black panther which is a rarity to see!
  • Return to Lodge for dinner.

    Day 9: Full Day Kruger National Park

  • This will be day 2 of our all-day game drive again starting out in the early morning with your ranger who will again follow a variety of planned routes through the African wild in search of wildlife as the day before.
  • Return to Lodge for dinner.

    Day 10: Kruger National Park to O.R. Tambo International Airport

  • Enjoy a final early morning game drive with your ranger and then depart to Johannesburg’s O. R. Tambo International Airport.
